The Empire; a small history
The Empire was founded one hundred years ago. The Emperor was the leader of a strong barbarian tribe, and he slowly began conquering all the lands around him. It took him seventy years but eventually he conquered all the lands of the empire.
The emperor was never satisfied with what he had so he kept trying to expand his empire but he faced obstacles in every direction.
To the North of the Empire is the Dragon Wastes. These harsh lands are home to hundreds of dragons, and the Emperor never even attempted to invade these lands. All ruled by the Elder Black dragon who calls herself Criosys.
To the West is the Great Sea. The emperor had an armada built and sent out toward some of the islands, but his navy was destroyed by Storm magics.
To the East are the Daggerbreak Mountains. The land is barely passable, but the mountains host many subterranean races. The emperor led an army to invade the Dwarven Empire called Khorloc, but was defeated handily.
To the South is the Rhot Jungle. This mysterious and shadowy realm is home to many different creatures and dark powers. Ten years ago, the emperor lead an army south and was never heard from again.
The emperor had divided his lands among his children. There were nine provinces and one free city, and each is ruled by one of this children. Within a year of his death two of the new realms began to war.
Wildor; your home realm
Wildor was left to one of the Emperor’s daughters. Wren Atheix is a powerful monk and her monastery is in the capital city which is also called Wildor. She does not believe in organized government, so she does not truly rule this realm, instead a council of 14 towns are the regions only government.
Wildor has always been a harsh and broken land. It lies tucked between the cruel Daggerbreak mountains and the Dragon Wastes. Monsters of all sorts are constantly raiding into the land from those completely uncivilized lands.
Wildor is barely a city, but it lies where North River is born from Three Post lake. The only building of note is Wren’s Monastery called the Spirit of Truth.
The land of Wildor is rough and mountainous. The isolated mountains are covered by heavy forests. Tribes of kobolds, goblins and giants raid the knots of civilization more out of desperation then greed. It is a harsh land breeding harsh peoples.
The Verdant Cabal is the name of your small village
The village was born twenty years ago when a large band of adventurers picked an isolated spot in Wildor to care a village out of the wilderness. The village is close to the Daggerbreak Mountains, and they former adventurers often have to defend themselves against raids from monsters.
