Located on the opposite side of town from the Jora Manse, Balneiros' house is made in the old Elven style of his homeland. With only three rooms in it's interior and a fenced porch facing the setting sun, the house beside the Smithery is small and well-maintained. Inside, the main living area is centered around a fire pit, larger than most would need for cooking. A large desk, chair, and single bookshelf line the far wall, with the doorway to Bal's bedroom between them. The house is finished with a spare room currently housing crates of various sizes, all empty.

As Last Night settles across the world, Balneiros secludes himself inside of his house and stares at the fire pit in the center of his home. What many used as a night to meditate and reflect, Balneiros would use as both an opportunity to practice and pray. Turning to the room adjoining his, Bal points at one of the small crates and attempts to float it into the empty fire pit.

Balneiros concentrates for just a moment, and then connects his consciousness with the mana bubbling out of the earth. He is filled with the wild power of the arcane, and he focuses it into a blue glowing had that seems to contain a swirling maelstrom of energy. They hand appears in the room, and waves at Balneiros. The hand floats erratically to the crate, and then runs a finger around the outside of the small crate. It grabs it up and carries it to the fire pit, and releases it clumsily. The wood clatters into the fire pit loudly.

Bal takes a deep breath as the wild magic flows through him, standing the hair on his arms on end. The thrill of such power works better than the finest alcohols in making him question his restraint, but he's yet to cave in. Still, he does let his belt loosen every so often. Staring at the crate, Balneiros lifts his hand and utters the incantation to ignite the crate.
[Prestidigitation- 2x2 crate.]

Bal stares at the crates, and feels the power swelling inside. He focuses on a single spot on the crate, and whispers words, and with a snap of his fingers, flames erupt slowly out over the crate. It begins to slowly burn, casting off welcome heat on this cold winter night. The hand still hovering above the fire, reaches out to bath in the heat of the fire.

Bal looks over to his bookshelf now, home to a small number of his prized possessions. His target tonight is a black book, untitled and plain on the cover, a book of prayers for the Goddesses he pays heed to. He points to it before looking back to the hand. The deep timbre of his voice seems perfectly at home in the quiet night beside the fire. "The book, please."

The hand lurches forward at his command, and zips to the black book. It runs a blue glowing finger up and down the leather spine, before grabbing it up. It turns, and makes it way toward the fire as if to throw the book in where it had thrown the crate, before Bal's urgent thought corrects it. The hand brings the book toward Bal and holds it in front of him.

Bal takes the book from the hand, flipping through the first pages as he finds the desired prayer. The God of Destruction was first, adhering to Balneiros' belief that progress was made through sacrifice, and no sacrifice was too great. The prayer he chooses is simple, an affair of only fifteen minutes with meditation that pays homage to the Rager and wishes for the opportunity to bring change soon. When the prayer is done, Balneiros goes to his bookcase, grabbing a pair of books he's read a dozen times before and dropping them into the fire. "Destruction brings progress."
Returning to his knees by the fire, Bal flips deeper into the book, seeking out the section dedicated to the Eldest Sister, the goddess held most dear in his mind. He sets the book in his lap as he stares into the fire, as if seeking out an answer. "Dearest Sister, honor me on this night as I honor you. It is through you that this world lives, and through which it will die. This night, many will look back at what they have lost, but it is you that I look to, for all that I have gained. It is by you that I have my power, and it is by you that I want more. I am not great enough to reach the library, but I must have my answers. The demons of the jungle have claimed my aunt and people, and kept the library from my grasp, but it will be mine. If my Lady wishes it. Tell me if I am to achieve this goal, if I am to have this power. Tell me that my future is not in this town, these people. Tell me that I have more to learn."

Balneiros gazes into the fire and opens himself up for contact with the Seductress. His mind starts to contemplate the fire, and he sees the books he himself has burnt lying in the fire. The pages slowly char, and rising from the fire thick ash swirls about his room. The particles of ash move in the same pattern as the mana that gives him his power. They rise high into the air, and drift slowly by him, rising and coating the inside of his small house.
Then Bal feels a light touch on the back of his neck, almost like a woman's fingers caressing his neck. His head snaps to look, and there is no one there. Bal is shocked to realize hours have passed while he was staring into the hot fire. The mana eternally caressing his mind and soul flows stronger then usual. He gets no other answer.

Balneiros pushes himself to his feet, focused on the new feel of the mana surrounding him. Bal leaves the fire to burn itself out as he moves to his bedroom, laying on his plain bed as he closes his eyes to sleep the rest of the night away. "Thank you, sweet Sister. I will move ahead."
