Since no other mage stands forward Louis is declared the winner. He is given a crown of purple roses and a ribbon that has "World's greatest magic user" stiched into it. The aerial servant floats them to him, and then makes loud clapping noises.

Louis, who had hoped for a monetary prize, tried not to let his disappointment show. At least he could pin the ribbon outside his caravan. Gullible customers ate shit like that up.
